Speech Assistant Product  Review

 Speech Assistant Product Review

Three pictures of the Speech Assistant front, back, and top

The Speech Assistant is quite an effective device for making phone calls for people with speech impairments that ICDRI reviewed recently and found to be easy to use and easy to assemble.  To quote from the web site at  http://www.speechassistant.com/

"This augmentative alternative communication (aac) device gives persons with speech-impairments the ability to "talk" directly on landline telephones (cordless), VOIP, and cell phones. "

We set it up and used it easily and found the directions for set up easy to understand and follow.  Properly used by people with speech impairments it can eliminate the need to use the relay service and can help those with speech impairments to communicate over the telephone quickly and easily.  It comes with helpful software for generating voices and the software is easy to use.

We give this device two thumbs up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
